Cosworth High Performance Tuning

Cosworth has been in business since 1958 and has become an industry leader of high performance technology. Motovicity is excited to add Cosworth to our lineup. High Performance Cooling Components

Cosworth manufactures high performance LowTemp Thermostats for Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru and Toyota. Cosworth LowTemp Thermostats are engineered with the optimum temperature range in mind. In order to achieve maximum reliability while running at high temps, the cooling system for a high performance engine requires an upgrade. Neglecting to do so can cause serious engine damage.

Engine Bearings

Cosworth Engine Bearings are manufactured to perform under extreme conditions to reduce friction and generate less heat than standard engine bearings. Cosworth offers three sizes to accommodate most applications. Cosworth bearing kits are available for Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Subaru.

Head Gaskets

Cosworth High Performance Head Gaskets are manufactured with FSL technology. FSL stands for Folded Stopper Layer and was developed to produce maximum sealing power around the combustion chamber. Cosworth Head Gaskets are engineered from pre-coated, die cut stainless steel for consistency. These Gaskets are available in various thicknesses and bore sizes to accommodate for standard and oversized cylinders.

The benefits of a Cosworth Head Gasket include:

• Engineered specifically for sleeved large bore applications
• Individual die cut layers of stainless steel with superior consistency compared to laser cut gaskets
• Pre-coated stainless steel with a 0.25 micron layer of nitrile rubber ensures consistent distribution of coating with no high or low areas
• Manufacturing dimensional tolerance of +/- 0.001
• Die cut manufacturing process ensures smooth edges, unlike laser cut gaskets
• Cosworth gaskets feature a folded stopper layer for additional torque around each cylinder. The width of sealing area is specific for each application thereby
  providing ultimate sealing properties
• Available in a range of thicknesses for specific applications

High Flow Air Induction

Cosworth engineers large diameter High Flow Intake Kits with aluminum inlets providing a smoother, wider inlet that OEM intakes do not. These intakes can increase performance by up to 15% and include an integrated heat shield. Cosworth manufactures these kits for the WRX and EVO platforms.

High Performance Air Filters

Cosworth manufactures some of the highest quality engine components in the industry. Their air filters are no exception. Cosworth high performance air filters are manufactured out of fully synthetic pleated polyester that does not require oiling.

Forged Pistons

Cosworth Pistons are all engineered using the same techniques as the Cosworth Formula One Pistons.

The benefits of a Cosworth Piston include:

• Unique forgings for each application
• Anti scuff skirt coating: Xylan
• Polished tops (reduce carbon build up and for stress relief)
• Manufactured from proprietary alloy (CosAl 010)
• Ultra strong pin
• Patented anti-detonation bands

Cosworth also manufactures Piston Ring Sets for select Mitsubishi, Nissan and Subaru engines. The tolerance of Cosworth Pistons is greater than OEM specifications. Most Cosworth Pistons will require Cosworth Piston Rings.

High Performance Braking

Cosworth manufactures two high performance brake pads. Both Cosworth pads are branded with Cosworth on the backing plate, scorched above 600°C to speed up "bed-in", manufactured with "Vee" groove and slot technology to allow for better clearance of debris and reduce cracking and are, equipped with a 1.5mm inter-layer to act as a shock absorber from surface impact while improving feel.

Cosworth also manufactures Big Brake Upgrade Kits in two variations, MaxSport and Sport. The MaxSport Variation Brake Kit is manufactured for select Evo and STi models. The MaxSport Kits are equipped with lightweight machined and hard anodized calipers. The calipers are designed to be lighter in weight without compromising performance. The Sport Variation calipers were engineered with a bolt in bridge design to reduce unwanted noise, vibration and pad taper without sacrificing the ability to cool. Cosworth two-piece rotors are engineered to increase airflow and are manufactured from a proprietary formulated cast iron. The hats and brackets are manufactured from aerospace grade billet aluminum and are CNC machined in the USA.

Cylinder Heads

Cosworth Cylinder Heads are manufactured for select Subaru, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Mitsubishi, and Ford engines. Each cylinder head is ported on a 5 axis machine head for consistency and accuracy. Cosworth CNC big cylinder heads are capable of withstanding up to 10,500RPM.
